The FareShare Community Pantry will be reopening on Wednesday 26th July 2023. We have had to make some changes to how we run the pantry and it will initially be on a much smaller scale due to a reduction in food donations. This means we have had to make some restrictions on who can access the pantry which is subject to change if we see an increase in food donations.

The FareShare Community Pantry opened in January 2023 and reached capacity by March. The purpose of the pantry is to support local people who are struggling with the rising cost of food prices. The Community Pantry works on a membership scheme. Once registered, members pay £3 per visit and will receive at least 10 items of food, alongside potential opportunities to volunteer, gain work experience, referrals to other services and access to other ad hoc events.

The pantry is available for anyone who meets the following criteria:

• Has a HU7 postcode
• Works or volunteers on Sutton Fields Industrial Estate
• Is an active member of a Goodwin project- volunteering, trainee, learner, ESOL classes, children centre services ect.

You must provide evidence of the above.

The pantry is run by a group called ThisAbility at Goodwin who support people between the age 18-29 with physical/ hidden disabilities or long-term conditions to gain work experience in retail.

Please note that the pantry is under weekly review and the cost and/or number of items available can change without notice if deemed necessary.

We reserve the right to terminate any membership if necessary. We have a zero-tolerance policy against any antisocial behaviour.
